
Belly Dance Classes
Belly dance is a great low impact workout for the whole body. The feminine art of belly dance is done worldwide by women of all ages and sizes. Learn the basic movements and fundamentals of belly dance in a warm welcoming environment with two superb instructors from Shula Azhar!
What to Wear: Wear comfortable workout clothes such as yoga pants, no shoes are required but if you prefer to wear them jazz shoes or ballet slippers are suggested. No street shoes on the studio floor please!
What to Bring: If you have a hip scarf bring it with you, some will be available for borrow if you need one. It is suggested to bring a water bottle and a yoga mat or old towel for floor stretches.

The art of belly dance dates back thousands of years and is known for its feminine grace and isolated body movements. Belly dance will help you develop flexibility, strength, and improve posture. In this 4-week beginners course, you will learn the breakdown of the basic moves used in belly dance and then apply them to a full routine. We will progress through the choreography each week, and at the end of the session, you will have a beautiful dance to show for your efforts

Learn fun choreographies, learn about costuming, stage make-up and props as well as join a sisterhood of support and comradery.
